Client: Private Homeowner, Kensington, London

Challenge: The client wanted to significantly reduce their reliance on grid electricity and lower their energy bills, while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of their traditional Kensington home.

Solution: Ambit Energy Solutions designed and installed a bespoke 10kWp solar PV array using discreet, high-efficiency panels. This was coupled with a 15kWh integrated battery storage system, allowing the homeowner to store excess solar energy for use during peak hours or at night. We also implemented a smart energy management system to optimize energy flow.

Outcome: The system achieved a 60% reduction in grid electricity consumption for the household year-round, resulting in substantial savings. The client also benefits from Feed-in Tariff (FIT) payments for exported energy, further enhancing the return on investment. Challenge: With a growing number of employees transitioning to electric vehicles, the client required a scalable, reliable, and user-friendly EV charging infrastructure within their multi-level car park to meet demand and enhance employee benefits.

Solution: We designed and installed 20 networked smart EV charging points (7kW and 22kW) across the office block's underground parking levels. This included significant electrical infrastructure upgrades, integration with the building's energy management system, and a cloud-based platform for usage monitoring, billing, and remote management. The system supports various payment methods and employee authentication via RFID cards.

Outcome: The new EV charging infrastructure has proven highly popular, significantly improving employee satisfaction and attracting new talent. The integration with smart load balancing ensures optimal power distribution, preventing grid overloads. Client: Private Homeowner, South London

Challenge: A charming but inefficient Victorian terraced house suffered from high energy bills and inconsistent internal temperatures, with an EPC rating of 'E'. The client wanted to improve comfort and reduce costs without compromising the historical character of the property.

Solution: Following a detailed EPC assessment, Ambit Energy Solutions implemented a multi-faceted retrofit. This included high-performance loft insulation, targeted internal wall insulation in key areas, draught-proofing of windows and doors while retaining original sashes, and the installation of a smart heating control system coupled with a new smart meter. We ensured all interventions were sympathetic to the building's heritage.

Outcome: The property's EPC rating dramatically improved from 'E' to 'B', representing a significant leap in energy performance.
